A challenging time is upon us. Our whole planet is threatened by conflicts between religio-political factions. We are reeling from the impact of loss and fear. At the same time, we understand that the visible warfare stems from profound causes in many dimensions that can be positively affected by focusing our collective intention toward genuine transformation.

The World-Healer mandala was begun on the afternoon of September 11, 2001. It is an empowerment piece for those who wish to act as world-healers. Such work is about dispelling/transmuting that which is destructive as well as invoking/co-creating that which supports life. Click here for full-screen image.

There is a holographic technology of transformation implicit in this mandala. Its operating principle is this: You are a "holon" or individualized facet of the whole, a microcosm that reflects and embodies the macrocosm. The history of the Earth and humanity is etched in your own genes and held in your deep psyche. By meditatively healing aspects of the conflict within yourself you are benefiting everyone. We are at a critical moment when we need to move past tribal conflict and into a stage of profound global cooperation. As you release outdated patterns within yourself and draw in a new vision, you help shift the big picture.

We are making the World-Healer mandala available online so that as many people as possible can use it as a focal point for their world-healing meditations. As with any networked process, the more people who use this image, the stronger its effect becomes. If it moves you, tell your friends.

The World-Healer image is composed of heavenly and earthly elements intermixed. The stars are from the Pleiades, Orion, plus the core of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies. The earthly elements are the red underside of a water lily leaf, the green-covered slope of a massive volcanic rock*, and a chrysocolla globe symbolic of an uplifted Earth. Together, these elements form a multi-dimensional focal point for your contemplation.

You can work with this image in its electronic form or order a print copy for your home or office. Even when not in active use, the mandala radiates the vibration of strong serenity. This piece is especially powerful when used in a group. Extra large prints are available for group meditations. This meditation has a four-part structure of making contact, releasing limits, setting intention, and receiving "Earth-Ecstasy".

Making Contact
As you first contemplate the World-Healer, simply take in its rich colors and patterns. Feel the many energies and essences that come to you through the visual elements. Feel the various levels of your own being and let yourself come to rest in the complexity of this moment. Interact with the vibrational field of the World-Healer image and let its supportive presence steady and enliven your contemplative work. Gaze at it open-eyed, or let your eyes close.

Releasing Limits
Notice how you are sitting and breathing. Locate any knots in your body and feeling. Connect with your fears and your reactions without judgment. Recognize both shadow impulses in yourself and your sense of vulnerability. Call on the great sources of help that are around and in you to transmute your internal conflicts and the larger-scale crisis. Draw on the healing energies of the image to help you recycle disinformation and limits at every level.

Setting Intentions
State your intentions for World-Healing. Be as complete as you can. These can be very local desires that pertain to yourself and your family as well as global goals. Ask for these things with as much feeling and forcefulness as you can. Feel your connection with humanity and the living planet and call for a positive outcome. Keep going until you feel your intentions are fully stated.

Receiving Earth-Ecstasy
In this final phase of the meditation, gaze again at the World-Healer image. Feel the "Earth-Ecstasy" that flows from it. Combining matter and spirit, this energy can help restore your system to a state of balance and fullness. Let yourself be filled with its radiance. See a new and truly healed Earth ahead and let that vision inform you as you re-enter your normal activities.
